Job Description
We are looking for a University Relations Specialist to join the Unibexs team. This role is responsible for helping Unibexs build strong university relationships, maintain accurate university information, track fees, scholarships, commissions, and support better deals for our agent network. The right person should be organized, professional, confident, detail-oriented, and able to communicate with universities clearly.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain professional relationships with university representatives and international offices.
Communicate with universities to verify information, obtain updates, and follow up on any missing details.
Support the onboarding of new university partners and contribute to expanding the Unibexs university network.
Research potential universities and academic programs, evaluate partnership opportunities, and prepare reports and recommendations for leadership.
Maintain and track university commission structures, payment terms, and partnership agreements, while supporting leadership with commission comparisons and negotiation preparation.
Share important university updates with the Growth, Partner Success, and Product teams to ensure effective internal communication.
Assist in developing SOPs, report inaccurate or outdated information, and recommend improvements to university-related processes.
Maintain and regularly update university information, including tuition fees, scholarships, academic programs, entry requirements, and intakes.
Monitor changes to university programs, admission requirements, and application deadlines to ensure information remains accurate and up to date.
Organize university data in a clear and structured format, ensuring education agents have access to reliable and current information.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Communication, Marketing, Education, International Relations, Information Management, or a related discipline.
1–3 years of relevant experience, or a recent graduate with demonstrated leadership, initiative, and meaningful involvement in university organisations, internships, projects, or extracurricular activities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong interpersonal, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Able to communicate professionally across email, messaging platforms, virtual meetings, and face-to-face interactions.
Confident representing Unibexs when engaging with universities and external stakeholders.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently while continuously improving processes.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing startup environment.
Proficient in Google Workspace (particularly Google Sheets), CRM systems, databases, and online research tools.
Able to maintain accurate, structured, and reliable information with a high standard of data integrity.
Comfortable attending university events, building professional networks, and identifying partnership opportunities.
Proficiency in Malay is an advantage. Additional languages such as Arabic, Bengali, Indonesian, or Mandarin are a plus.
Malaysian candidates are preferred; however, exceptional international candidates are welcome to apply.
Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, sound judgement, and a strong sense of ownership when handling confidential information and representing Unibexs.
Salary
Salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
